I just received a snail letter from Evelyn Holland who was a seatmate of mine on a flight to ND. We must have talked about books. She reads this blog sometimes. Evelyne I would like to invite you to join us. We do talk about books sometimes. There are two here besides me from the Midwest. Jacky and Jan. To get a name and password go to Jenny@crumiller.com and tell her you want to join the group. She will give you one. E-mail her. I will look forward to seeing you here.
I think you are right Jerry. I am glad you got back.
My Ipad had a problem and it is getting fixed but my Kindle is on it with the book i was reading, the History of Love. I have nothing to read at the moment and had to watch TV for a while last night. It was torture. I will make a trip to the library today.
Many of us are on Facebook now and that is probably why this beloved blog is not as busy as before. I’m reading a lot of untitled Mark Twain stuff on the kindle which I downloaded free. The man is a genius with words. Thanks to Jennie for giving me a password. I’m still not sure what happened but here I am…posting!
Huggz all,
Jerry
This is a book by Debbie Macomber. Very light novel. I enjoyed it. It is about three women making a road trip from Seattle to FL. for the oldest one’s school reunion. Her husband had always promised her a road trip and then he died so she opted to do it by herself. However, her grand daughter and former daughter in law decided to join her so it was three generations of this trip. I liked it.
Hope all is well with everyone. Georgianna
PS I thought I posted this a few weeks back but I couldn’t find it so-o-o-o-
That was quite an accomplishment to gather so many from all over. An opportunity to share memories.

I am happy to see posts here again. I would hate to see this blog die. I am now recovered from a wonderful family reunion in Nags Head, NC. It was especially nice because my husbands nieces and families from Bend, OR and California were there. My SIL had rented a house next to ours and had planned to come. She wanted her grandchildren to meet their cousins. Unfortunately she died suddenly. Her family came and we enjoyed each other. We also had a small celebration of life for my SIL. There were 28 of us there, 25 at the dinner table most evenings. Only one grandson didn’t make it. I didn’t read much while there. I did go deep sea fishing though and thought of Moby Dick.
Georgianna, I’m glad to read your review of the book–it looks like there’s another I have to download. When my niece was visiting during my initial knee recuperation, we were talking about how we each recognize how we have changed over the years–she with 35 fewer years to review than I. We also talked about a mutual acquaintance near her age who has changed not at all and how we see that.

a book by Maria Shriver called “Just Who Will You Be?” This was written before the recnet events in her life. I liked the question. She talked about the challenges she met in finding out WHO she was/is and also realized that who she was changes over time and will continue to change. That who she is now isn’t necessarily who she will be in years to come.
I lead a group at my church and I ask them who they were? Who they are? and who they hoped to be? Kinda interesting.
I hope you are having a good summer. Our summer has been fairly moderate and I like that (So Calif.)
Take care. Georgianna
I remember the fun pictures you had of the last family reunion you had, Darlyne. Glad it worked out well again, and that Darwin’s family joined. I hope Jan’s worked something out. My sister and bil had guests that couldn’t buy fishing licenses in MN. Surely hope that our land can solve our huge money problems without too much pain.
Clive starts radiation next Tue, we hear its painless, may result in tiredness later on, but we are so thankful for med helps here.

We are having a great time here in Nags Head, NC. there are twenty three of us. it is special because my late husbands family are here and the cousins are meeting for the first time—and bonding. there seems to be quite a bit of partying going on with them. the beach is wonderful.
I got out some of the papers – stories about this group and read them this morning. You are an amazing bunch of people and I will be eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know you.
I hope you all have a good holiday. Georgianna
Glad to hear the news about Clive. You will be happy to be home again. I am getting ready for our reunion in NC. We have a lot of good times together. My SIL in MN has a large reunion planned for over the 4th at a state park in MN and the state may shut down all the parks. This will sure mess up their plans as their family is coming from all over. It was to be announced today and I haven’t heard yet.
