Memory

I just don’t understand and I’m not sure I know how to compensate. Is it because we don’t talk as much we don’t verbalize what is hapening and we are just on a roll doing the same things over and over.

hearing aids

Julie: I am very interested in what hearing aid you are so pleased
with. I bought new aids one year ago to the “tune” of $6000 and
after returning countless times for adjustments they are still NOT compatible to my ears.
I wanted the models that are very small pieces that go in the ear canal and hardly show, but according to the technician my ear
canal was as small as a baby’s and so I have large molds, definitely NOT what I wanted.

The bad penny returns!

I have been sick for MUCH longer than I care. Cough started and would go away, come back, go away and then was when I should have gone to the doctor. Mistake: didn’t! It got me in its clutches some 3 weeks ago and by then, I was down and out. Coughing, congestion … you name it. I think I’m on the road to recovery and decided I’d best get back to GGOBIT before you all disowned me.

Glad to hear at least some of you have been chatting and reading. I read but a series I’ve had for years and requires no thought to read but is still interesting enough to read. Science fantasy has saved me many a boring hour. ;)

I have absolutely nothing to write about unless you’d like a blow-by-blow description of my coughing jags! I have no doubt but what that is of little interest so I guess I’ll go fix me a cup of tea and read some more.

Hope you are all healthier than I am and long-distance hugs to you

PS: I found some unpublished msgs so here they are.

libraries in St Augustine

Posted by jackyjones on April 5th, 2011 11:11 am

My cousin and wife took me to the 3 museums in S A, and all of them have books to give away, and one can leave books in place. My cousin had books to give so I now have more books than I can get into my suitcase and say under 50 lbs, so tomorrow I’m returning some that I find I’ve already read or probably will not read. I did find Animal Farm, which I’ve never read, and A Man Called Peter, which I really enjoyed way back in the 50′s. The weather is nice here

Thanks for the site, Darlyne, I’m going to check it out–remember the one a few years ago–fascinating.

Bald Eagle

Besides putting up with Cocoanut I have been watching a web cam of a Bald Eagle on a nest in Decorah, Iowa. She did have three eggs but one hatched early this morning. I have been watching her for days. The web site is raptorresource.com in case anyone is interested.

One good thing about Cocoanut, I can blame her for the disappearance of the last piece of chocolate cake.

Home and a lab on the counter

I enjoyed your description of the lab on the counter. Our girls had a cat, and we never could convince her to stay off, if we were not around. There was often evidence that she had leaped up.

Our daughter learned that Joyce Carol Oates remarried a year or so later, but I’m sure the experience and pain were real.

My husband could use that stair chair, but I don’t know if he would. Thankfully, there are carts available in airports or we would still be in Atlanta or Minneapolis. He doesn’t walk any more than necessary.

I’d like to get the Professor and Housekeeper, have to check at our library soon, Jacky
