Books and Opera
Indeed Follett did write about a multitude of subjects; he must have reference books and notes for here to breakfast what with the research he would have had to do. I like his books a lot.
re Aieda: could it be because the first letters are like the cry folks make when in painful shock? Ai????????????????? Otherwise, I have no clue Darlyne.
But I would have loved to have gone to the Met no matter what the opera was. I used to listen to the operas on Saturday while doing my ironing.
I am anxiously awaiting the Snelling books but first I have to wait some videos my neighbor loaned me: two with Tim Conway, who cracks me up like he used to do to Harvey Korman on the Carol Burnett show. Anyone remember that? Another one is about basic camp for the military, (he’s ex-Army) but he and she both said it’s very good. The fourth is about the race organization for which Dale Earnhardt drove. They are both race fans and I do like to watch and/or listen the Indy 500 while I knit or crochet or something. Just sitting there watching cars go round and around is about as interesting as watching grass grow, so something else to pay attention to is good!
Weather was forecast but we didn’t get very much. Disappointing. And dry!
Back to football!
